The house of Alexander McQueen is in hot water after becoming embroiled in a legal dispute with the Hells Angels. The biker group is suing the label and Saks Fifth Avenue claiming they have infringed on the club's trademark. The offending items include a four finger knuckle duster that used the club's winged skull logo, ahandbag, and a dress all said to be bearing the phrase "Hells Angels" and their motif.
According to lawyers for the Hells Angels, the trademarks associated with the club had "great commercial value" and were being used by McQueen and Saks to "exploit that value for their own gain." They are asking for the removal of the items from the shelves. There has been no comment from either the fashion house of department store at this stage.
