Mondo Guerra, the runner up, presented his collection at New York Fashion Week along with fellow competitors Gretchen Jones (winner - I really believe the judges got it wrong, I don't think she has her finger on the pulse of fashion... unless you truly believe that JCP is the fashion retailer of the world - since that's where I think she'll end up and ... I mean really, she made the same look over and over again using the same dumb shorts in 3 different looks and same monotone colors through out! ) and Andy South this past Thursday during the finale of Project Runway Season 8.
To my disappointment and surprise, Mondo did not win, though his collection was a huge hit among all ages groups - despite judges opinions.
Guerra mentioned that he was HIV possible and expressed to the world that his designs are expressions of who he has become and will soon be in the future. His clothes speaks for itself, full of life, color and excitement. I really wish Mondo Guerra the best and hope to see his designs soon - because all the talent shouldn't go to waste!
