The first time I saw these were in a Japanese magazine about 10 years ago. Than I personally went to Japan about 9 years ago and saw them on all the cute little Japanese girls there. It's really quite a norm; you'll see everyone from office workers to even little girls wearing these cute elaborate fake nails. I never really thought much about them until I saw them in today's Daily Candy email. OMG. I forgot how cute they are and now, I can actually get them here in the states from Kawaiinails.com, what a totally appropriate website name!

Crazy Sparkly Japanese Nails
